Al-Wahda football club failed to achieve the desired results, drawing 2-2 at home against Al-Bataeh on Thursday at Al-Nahyan Stadium in front of about a thousand spectators. This match was part of the 15th round of the ADNOC Pro League. Fans of "Al-Wahda" were expecting a strong reaction from the players following the unexpected exit from the UAE President's Cup at the hands of United, one of the first division teams, as well as the subsequent technical changes with the appointment of Slovenian coach Darko Milanič, replacing Portuguese manager Dimas Teixeira. However, hopes were once again dashed. Al-Wahda entered the match in a sluggish manner, finding themselves behind as early as the 14th minute when Al-Bataeh took the lead through Álvaro de Oliveira, before "The Happy Ones managed to equalize in the 43rd minute via Omar Kharbin. In the second half, Abdulla Hamad gave Al-Wahda the lead with his second goal in the 65th minute, but the home side's joy was short-lived as Mohammed Juma Eid scored an equalizer for Al-Bataeh in the 77th minute. With this result, Al-Wahda's total points reached 30, missing a valuable opportunity to close the gap on Al-Ain, currently in second place, while Al-Bataeh added a new point to their tally to reach 12 points, continuing their battle to escape the relegation zone.
